Then he added, “Now go and learn the meaning of this Scripture: ‘I want you to show mercy, not offer sacrifices.’ For I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.” Mat 9:13. When we show mercy, love, help and compassion towards others we are honouring God. The heart of Jesus was for a lost humanity, people who were struggling, with issues in their life regardless of fault. Jesus came to heal and restore, not to judge. So we also are called to continue the works of Jesus, today. This is our time to make a difference. If everyone helped one other person, no one would need help. We are not to judge, but to be a part of whatever work God is doing in someone’s life. All the religious activity in the world amounts to nothing if it doesn’t change our heart and behaviour towards others. Thank Jesus today that He has showed us the way of love in all that we do.
