Then, going over to the people who sold doves, he [Jesus] told them, “Get these things out of here. Stop turning my Father’s house into a marketplace!” Then his disciples remembered this prophecy from the Scriptures: “Passion for God’s house will consume me.” Jn2:16-17. Are you consumed by a passion for the things of God. A passion for His house is a passion for worship, to come together to exalt and lift God up, to bring Him honour and praise. It’s where we gather together to be strengthened and encouraged. When we have a passion for God and His ways it directs our steps and allows His love to flow in and through our lives. God’s ways are not our ways, they are better! Let a passion for His Word, His heart and His way consume you today. Seek His face and just worship Him. Allow His peace to fill you as you make Him the desire of your heart that will also overflow to touch the lives of those around you.
