Don’t befriend angry people or associate with hot-tempered people, or you will learn to be like them and endanger your soul. PR 22:24-25. Who is rubbing off on you. Our friends impact our lives more than we realise. The old adage “show me your friends and I will tell you who you are” still stands today. A hot tempered person acts out of emotional reaction rather than reasoned thought that can potentially destroy relationships and bring grief into your life. If you continually mix with those who drink too much, before long, you will also be drinking more than you normally would. You should be the salt of the earth adding flavour into the life of others. If you’re not rubbing off on them, then they are rubbing off on you,so choose your friends wisely. Thank God today for great friends who encourage us,support us and are there for us. May the Lord help us to bring His love and His ways into every friendship.

This is so true. No matter much we want to deny it we each take on some of the characteristics of the people we surround ourselves with. This is something we all have to remember.
