God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love- not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. 1Jn 4:9-10. This Christmas many will reflect on the nativity and think only about baby Jesus, God’s greatest gift to humanity. Yet baby Jesus grew into a man to fulfil Gods purpose. He was born to die, and rose back to life, so that we could have eternal life with Him. He is now our saviour God, our hearts desire. This was Father God’s greatest act of love, to a world that hardly knew Him. He loved us first before we could ever love Him, now thats true love. Thank Jesus today for coming into your heart to give you new life. This Christmas let God’s greatest gift touch your heart once again, and let the reality of what He has done for you fill you with hope and joy.
