And since I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash each other’s feet. I have given you an example to follow. Do as I have done to you. I tell you the truth, slaves are not greater than their master. Nor is the messenger more important than the one who sends the message. Now that you know these things, God will bless you for doing them. Jn 13:14-17. We are equally as important in the eyes of God regardless of our position in life. What we do or our status in life never gives us the right to treat anybody differently to how we would expect to be treated. As we recognise this and begin to bless and value each other, we will live in greater harmony and peace. In this way we will be washing each others feet, just like Jesus did, that will bring His blessing. Thank Jesus today that he showed us the importance of humility and valuing each other so that we can all live a blessed life.
