Gossip separates the best of friends PR 16:28b. We must be careful with our words. Gossip has a way of finding its way back to the source. Be a person who can protect whatever information you’ve been entrusted with. Be careful not to use the need to pray for someone as grounds to share gossip. Gossip in one sense is a betrayal of friendship where the importance of sharing something private with someone else outweighs the importance of protecting your friend who could be impacted by the gossip that spreads very quickly. There are always 2 sides to every story so never readily share what you’ve heard without full knowledge. Good friends are a gift from God and hard to find, so protect them with your words.
