I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. This is good and pleases God our Saviour, 1 Tim 2:1-3. The power of prayer can change everything. We must look outside of ourselves to the needs of others, and as we pray for others and intercede for them, God will also meet our needs. We must pray with a grateful heart for our governments, people in authority, our employers and bosses. We must pray that God gives them great wisdom and favour in their deliberations and decision making that will impact our lives and the lives of others. Thank God today that as we stand in the gap, He can change everything and as we pray God will release His supernatural favour to change hearts and minds for His glory.
