As the deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you, O God. PS 42:1. There’s a place of intimacy with God, where we can find refuge and peace. Once we’ve experienced His presence and His touch on our life, it becomes our desire to return to that place. It’s in that place God speaks to our heart, guides our steps and fills us with strength and hope to keep trusting and pressing in for whatever we need His guidance for in our life. Yet the busyness of life can take us away, ever so subtly if we’re not careful. We must make spending time with God a priority in our life and to walk with Him daily. As we keep close to Him we will be aware of His guiding hand and wisdom when we need it most. Praise God today that He is closer to us than the air we breathe and as we spend time with Him in prayer,worship and waiting on Him, He will fill us with His guiding love and peace beyond words.
