A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a persons strength. PR 17:22. Scripture tells us that the joy of the Lord is our strength. It’s through intimacy with God that we come to that place of refuge in the midst of a crisis where we can rejoice in Him and praise Him. When faced with adversity start praising God and allow the wellspring of your heart to overflow with praise and the sadness that seeks to weigh you down will soon be lifted. Enter His courts with thanksgiving on your heart, let your praises ring out. While you are praising Him the enemy and his plans are being defeated as he can not remain in a place where God is exalted. Praise Him today, rejoice in Him and allow Gods grace to turn your sorrow into joy.
