“No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money. Mat 6:24. The love of money usually stems from a fear of lack, where no amount seems ever enough. People who chase wealth often hoard it and are seldom truly happy and before they know it the love of money stops them from being a blessing to others and missing out on God’s best. If money was truly the answer to life’s problems then God would have blessed us all with abundant wealth. Whilst not enough money can bring hardship and stress, too much can divide families and turn people away from God as they look to their own ability rather that trust in God. Praise God today that we live by faith and that He is our provider and the God of more than enough. As we look to Him, He will never fail us and meet all our needs according to His riches in glory.
