As long as Moses held up the staff in his hand, the Israelites had the advantage. But whenever he dropped his hand, the Amalekites gained the advantage. Ex 17:11. When we lift up our prayers to God we move into a place of supernatural advantage. As we look to God and not at our own limitations, God can do incredible things. The Israelites had been slaves and were not warriors, the Amalakites were strong people with trained soldiers, however while Moses lifted up the Israelites in prayer they gained the upper hand as God was with them. When Moses stopped praying,the Amalakites gained the advantage. We must always keep God at the forefront of our lives and keep praying. God will move when the time, His time, is right. We must stay strong, trusting and believing in Him. Praise God today that He never lets us down. Even when all around may appear lost, when we keep our eyes fixed on God, He will breakthrough.
