For you are a slave to whatever controls you. 2Pet 2:19b. Jesus came to give us freedom and liberty from the entrapments of this world. Temporary pleasures can become habit forming addictions that can soon control you. The wrong mind set through the media, peer pressure or negative words can rob your self worth and try to steal your identity. If you want something new in your life you need to stop doing something old, if you want change you must do something differently. Jesus makes the Word of God alive to our Spirit. You are a child of God with access to every promise in His Word ready for you to claim. You’re not asking God for anything new but claiming what He has already promised you. Praise God today that your identity is in Him and that He’s made you to be the head and not the tail and as you declare God’s promises over your life daily, you’ll walk in the freedom and victory that Jesus has for you.
