“I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love. When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow! This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you. Jn 15:9-12. Jesus is our example. Jesus did what He saw the Father doing so we too should do what Jesus did. Jesus showed us how to love by putting others first. When we truly love, our hearts will be open, where we will be quick to forgive, quick to resolve conflict and quick to be reconciled. As we learn to walk as Jesus did, our own joy will begin to overflow, as our heart will be aligned with God as we see others as God sees them. Thank Jesus today for showing us how to live a life of love so that our joy can overflow in every area of our life.
