Messengers arrived from the home of Jairus, the leader of the synagogue. They told him, “Your daughter is dead. There’s no use troubling the Teacher now.” But Jesus overheard them and said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid. Just have faith.” Mk 5:35b-36. Jesus was on the way to the home of Jarius to heal his daughter when news of her death arrived. Jesus told him not to be afraid but only to believe. It’s in these moments of weakness and vulnerability when things are beyond us that God can really move and reveal His faithfulness to us. We must never lose heart, as fear is the opposite of faith, but keep believing and hold fast to our faith. God is faithful and is always with us even in our most difficult moments. Jesus healed Jarius’ daughter and he will also move in your life as you keep trusting Him. Praise God today that He will never fail us as we keep trusting Him regardless of what we see.
