If a soldier demands that you carry his gear for a mile, carry it two miles. Mat 5:41. This is about our heart response. If someone pressures us to do something we don’t want to do, rather than allowing your heart to stew, your anger to rise, and your demeanour to change, God is calling us to love that goes beyond ordinary human nature. Love that turns an awkward situation for you into an extreme blessing for others that will reveal the power of God’s love working in your life. There is power in the second mile, it’s where others see you in a different light, where favour and blessings can materialise. It’s where God can start to work in 2 peoples lives, yours and theirs. It’s in that place when you decide to go the extra mile that God’s peace will rest on your life. Praise God today that He is for us and not against us and as we decide to go the extra mile, He will turn the situation around for good.
