In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it. Jn 1:1-6. Gods Word is life. His Word brings joy, hope and peace as we hold on to it in a world of shifting sand where the levels of acceptability are determined by popularity rather than a stable consistent foundation. God’s Word endures forever and as we stand on the Word, trust the Word and release it into our life, through faith, the power of God’s favour will go with us. Praise God today that He is the Word, the truth, our light and our rock. Jesus is the Word that we can always stand on to fill us with hope and direction for life.
