Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. Prov4:23. Our heart is not only key for our physical life but also our spiritual life. Our heart attitude reflects how we see the world and how we deal with others. If we don’t guard our heart we can become cynical, bitter and lose proper perspective on what is important in life, and even worse, harden our heart towards God. Whilst our trials shape us, they also highlight the foundations on which our faith is built. With solid foundations we run to God from whom all our help comes from, with foundations built on sand, we start to blame God for our problems and turn away. We must be careful not to allow circumstances to change our heart, and always react with God given wisdom. We must guard our heart by keeping close to God and asking Him to strengthen us. Praise God today that He will never fail us and is always there for us.
