People with understanding control their anger; a hot temper shows great foolishness. Prov 14:29. Patience is true understanding, to observe, listen and then respond. It is wise to respond once we’ve had a moment to choose our words. We shouldn’t react out of emotion without time to think, as that will inevitably inflame a situation even further. We must respond and not react. Don’t turn a small fire into a raging inferno! We must be aware of our emotions and brace ourselves very firmly when we’re caught off guard, so that if something is about to set us off, we don’t allow our emotional reaction to fly off the handle, but take a moment to gather our thoughts and words that can turn a situation around for the better.  Praise God today that He is with us in every situation, ready to give us whatever wisdom we need as we allow ourselves a moment to tap into His Holy Spirit at crucial moments.
