In one of the villages, Jesus met a man with an advanced case of leprosy. When the man saw Jesus, he bowed with his face to the ground, begging to be healed. “Lord,” he said, “if you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean.” Jesus reached out and touched him. “I am willing,” he said. “Be healed!” And instantly the leprosy disappeared. Lk 5:12-13. Jesus is always willing to answer our prayers. However Jesus is not a backstop, or a last resort when all else fails. We must approach Jesus with a real earnestness and desire for whatever we need early, as part of our daily walk with Him, so that we can also retain our peace through our trial knowing that He is moving on our behalf. Sometimes there can be a delay as the destination is not always as important as what God is doing in us along the journey. Praise God today that He is always willing, and as we come to Him with our needs, He will come through.
