The LORD is compassionate and merciful slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. PS 103:8. Those who are wise are slow to anger and leave room for God. When you are slow to anger you remain in a position of strength where you can reflect and carefully choose your next steps leaving room for God to move in your situation. A quick temper throws fuel onto a small fire to create a blaze that releases words that hurt and cutting remarks that actually serve to further breakdown a deteriorating situation rather than start to build bridges towards resolution, reconciliation and restoration. When we stay close to God even in the most turbulent times, He can move supernaturally on our behalf to still the stormy seas, change hearts and make the impossible possible. Praise God today that He is our advocate and our example and as we stay close to Him in every situation He will direct our steps and make a way.
