For the kind of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation. There’s no regret for that kind of sorrow. But worldly sorrow, which lacks repentance, results in spiritual death. 2Cor7:10. It’s sin that separates us from God. Its God’s desire that we live Holy and pure lives that honours Him and will bring us into the fullness of His presence. Repentance is not just saying sorry, its a deep sense of remorse that causes us to make a 180 degree turn from doing whatever it is that’s holding us back from drawing closer to God. We should always keep short accounts with God and deal with whatever He has places on our heart quickly. Don’t wait until you can no longer sense his prompting to come back into right relationship with Him. Thank God today that He loves us unconditionally and will give us the strength to deal with whatever issues we maybe facing in our life at present.
