The reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord is the beginning and the principal and choice part of knowledge [its starting point and its essence]; but fools despise skillful and godly Wisdom, instruction, and discipline. Pr1:7 AMP. True knowledge and understanding will flow from our devotion and obedience to God. The term “fear” is used to depict a reverend awe for the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, our Creator and Father God. When we realise who God is, and who we are, loved of God and redeemed through His son Jesus, it should be our desire to learn more of Him, to walk in His ways and to keep close to Him. As we do this we will start to see things as He see them, we will value things as He values them, and we’ll accept His word over man’s as He is the ultimate authority because He is God. Praise God today that our life will only be truly fulfilled when we put Him in the highest place.
