Then Peter came to him and asked, “Lord, how often should I forgive someone who sins against me? Seven times?” “No, not seven times,” Jesus replied, but seventy times seven”! Mat18:21,22. When we fail to forgive from our heart we invite calamity into our lives. In the parable from v23-35, the King imprisoned the servant whom he had originally pardoned when he failed to show the same mercy to a fellow servant in forgiving a much smaller debt. Jesus forgave it all, He gave us a complete fresh start, no dissection of our past was required, just a repentant heart. In contrast how can we not forgive others when Jesus has done so much for us. We step out from His grace when we fail to forgive that can be the cause of issues that some may be struggling with. Thank Jesus for forgiving us unconditionally.
