Jesus wants to give us rest
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Mat 11:28-30. We don’t have to carry our problems on our own. Jesus desires to give us rest and to show us the way through. The yoke was a piece of timber that went over the shoulders of 2 oxen to keep them together to share the load. In the same way when we walk with Jesus, He will carry our load when the road gets difficult and we can’t see a way through. The worlds ways are much more strenuous than the path Jesus has for us. It’s time to stop striving. As we come to Jesus with our problems and seek His wisdom and guidance, He will make a way.
