Let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No’, and yo

But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ ‘No.’ For whatever is more than these is from the evil one. Mat 5:37. Your word is who you are. What comes out of your mouth flows from your heart. So let the integrity of your words stand at all times. Don’t make promises you can’t keep, especially to your children. I used to tell my kids, ‘I will try my best but no promises!’ Kids soon discover our flaws but don’t let your words be one of them. There was a time when a persons word was his or her bond, but sadly those days are mostly past us. Let your word be your bond so that your integrity rings out. If you say you will do something then do it, diarize it, and don’t forget! It’s also Ok to say ‘no’, so don’t overcommit or over promise so you can keep your word and your peace. Thank God today for His word that will never fail. We can stand, pray and believe on Gods Word, and know that the answer will come.
