Living for Jesus rather than for man is true liberty
Our purpose is to please God, not people. He alone examines the motives of our hearts. 1Thes 4b. Freedom comes when we recognise we don’t have to be man pleasers. When we allow our approval to be linked to the response of others,we will be very unhappy as we lack confidence in who we are, relying on what others think of us, that may also compromise us. Our identity is in God, who says we were wonderfully created in His image and can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. We are unconditionally loved and God does not overload us or place expectations on us to perform. When we desire to please God and walk in His ways, we will be filled with His peace an joy and not dependant on mans approval. God’s ways are above our ways and He is fully committed to us reaching the very best He created us to be. Praise God today that in Him we have liberty and freedom, and are not bound by the agendas of others.
