Our measure for dealing with others is the cross

See that no one pays back evil for evil, but always try to do good to each other and to all people. 1 Thes 5:15. Our measure for dealing with others is the cross. It’s how God dealt with us, we were saved by grace, therefore we must be forgiving and also move in grace. The world desires revenge and justice but God desires grace and mercy. People can spend years pursuing justice and become bitter in the process. When we move in grace, we let go of the hurts that allows peace to reign in our heart. When we move in grace, we allow God to be God as we give Him our cares, our burdens and allow Him to deal with the wrongs against our lives. The cross was not only God’s plan to give us eternal life, but also to give us a life of peace, joy and happiness regardless of our circumstances. Thank Jesus today for His wonderful grace that holds nothing against us, but sets us free to live a life of liberty and peace.
