Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit

Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body. 1Cor6:19-20. The Holy Spirit is holy. He is God living in you sharing every part of your life. He knows you better than you know yourself. You can rest that He doesn’t live in you because of anything you could do, but because of the righteousness of Jesus that covered you when you invited Him into your life. He desires that you live in the abundance of God’s love as you rest and abide in Him. Yet we must also live in a way that reflects the reverence we have for the One who has given us new life in Jesus and treat our bodies as the temple of the Holy Spirit.
