Belief in God is our confidence
Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy! I look to you for protection. I will hide beneath the shadow of your wing until the danger passes by… My heart is confident in you, O God; my heart is confident. No wonder I can sing your praises! PS 57:1,7. He is our confidence. His Word is true, there is nothing for us to do other than to believe. Jesus died on the cross for our redemption, all we must do is believe. When we realise that God’s Word is full of His promises that we can appropriate into our lives by just believing, we can rest in the confidence we have in Him. The closer you draw near to God, the greater your confidence will be that as you rest in Him, God will make a way. You can only hide in something that you know exists that’s why David could rest in God and rejoice as He knew God would protect Him. Rest in God today. Don’t let anxiety rob your peace, but let God be your comfort as you believe on Him.
