Don’t judge others and you won’t be judged
“Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. For you will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged. Mat 7:1-2. It’s too easy to slip into a lifestyle where we start judging others by our own standards. Yet we may only see a snippet of behaviour, a mere glimpse of the outward working of an inward struggle that gives us no right to judge others. We all have our cross to bear, our own life issues, and if God judged us by His standard we would all fail miserably. However Jesus stood in the gap for us and paid the price we couldn’t pay. So grace, compassion and heartfelt love towards others must also become bedrock qualities in our character, so that instead of judging, we will support, comfort, love and be reconciled. Praise God for His unconditional love for us today and let’s start looking at others with our heart rather than our head.
