God sees the greatness in you that you don’t see in yourself

Gideon son of Joash was threshing wheat at the bottom of a winepress to hide the grain from the Midianites. The angel of the Lord appeared to him and said, "Mighty hero, the Lord is with you!" Judges 6:11b-12.

God saw the greatness in Gideon that He couldn't see in himself. Gideon was in a winepress hiding from his enemies, when God called him a Mighty hero! God had a plan for Gideon to deliver the Israelites from the Midianites, not in His own strength but in God's. Gideon had to prepare himself and His army and trust God who would bring the victory. We must not be so self critical that we miss the greatness that God has put in each of us to rise up in whatever we are doing. God has given each of us gifts and talents that we must develop to bring out the best God intended for us. Praise God today that as we step out and trust Him, He'll bring out the greatness He has put in every heart.
