Guard your heart against those things that can steal your peace

Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. Proverbs 4:23.

You must guard your heart against those things that can steal your peace. Don't watch too much news that can get into you and affect the way you feel and think. Pray about situations that concern you, so that God can move in those situations that you can't directly influence. Don't allow yourself to hold resentment towards others that can turn into bitterness that will poison your heart and push you away from God. Let love and compassion towards others always flow from your heart, as what flows from your heart will impact your relationships with others and set the course for your life. God has so much more for you, so don't let wrong feelings about others impact your life. Praise God today that as we keep close to Him, He’ll be the shield around our life and help us to guard our heart.
