If Jesus needed time out to pray, so do we!
But despite Jesus’ instructions, the report of his power spread even faster, and vast crowds came to hear him preach and to be healed of their diseases. But Jesus often withdrew to the wilderness for prayer. Lk 5:15-16. Jesus knew the importance of time out to spend time in prayer. People were coming to Him with their needs and to hear Him speak wherever He went, but He often withdrew to a quiet place for prayer. If Jesus needed time out and withdrew from the busyness of life, so do we! We need time to focus and keep close to Father God in the stillness of the moment. In that place we can gain clarity on what’s happening in our life and enter His rest to keep His peace in our heart. When you’re too busy to pray, that’s exactly when you need time out. Praise God today that He’s always with you and as you take time out, you will hear His voice more clearly, and receive the spiritual refreshment we all need.
