Jesus came for those who need Him and not for those who think they don’t
When Jesus heard this, he told them, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor-sick people do. I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.” Mk2:17. Self righteousness is so subtle and dangerous as we start to judge others against our own standards without recognising that we all have our faults and what you may see in others could actually be the manifestation of a horrendous and painful past. Jesus didn’t come to judge us like some others would, but to restore us. When we cone to Jesus with our imperfections and faults He begins to lovingly restore us, firstly to the Father so that we are spiritually secure and then to give us a new identity in Him where He deals with our pains and hurts and becomes our strength when we are weak. Thank Jesus today that He came to restore us, to strengthen us, and to lead us into the best life possible in Him. Prayerchair.org
