Jesus taught us how to pray

Pray like this: Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us today the food we need, and forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us. And don’t let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one. Mat 6:9-13. NLT. The Lord taught His disciples how to pray – like this, not only this prayer, but in essence Jesus gave them a template of how to pray that they could adapt. For instance, whilst we do pray the Lord’s Prayer we can personalise this for our specific areas, for God’s will to be done for our healing, or for our daily needs other than just food, and when we offer forgiveness or request forgiveness we should be specific. Praise God today that He’s shown us how to pray effectively into those situations that we are struggling with or that’s on our heart. Prayerchair.org
