Jesus wants us to be more like Him

If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, so that you will do as I have done to you. John 13:14-15.

Jesus wants us to be more like Him, to serve others as He served us. Today there is such a focus on leadership and virtually nothing on serving. Even in the Bible there is only 3 mentions of leadership and more than 300 references on serving. Yet we will never make effective leaders until we learn to serve others first. As we look after others, and help them in whatever way we feel led, they will see Jesus moving through our life. As we serve others we will also be blessed. We are called to make a difference, and sometimes to be the difference, or the blessing in someone's life. Praise God today that as we desire to be more like Jesus in all that we do, we will be blessed as we bless others.
