Through God’s grace we were set free, and through our relationship with God we stay free

God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. Eph 2:8-9. The most precious gift of all is God’s salvation. It gives us a fresh start in life, as well as the spiritual start that God always intended us to have. In one sense it’s like a prison door being opened before us, and a whole new world of colour through changed perspectives and opportunities lay ahead. Whilst God’s grace opened to door to set us free, it’s through our choice to keep a close relationship with God that we stay free. As we choose to press into God each day and keep close to Him, His strength will become our strength and protection, to overcome the challenges we face each day. Praise God today that through Jesus we were set free, and through our relationship with Him we can stay free.
