Forgiveness brings freedom
Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Col 3:13. Unforgiveness is the devils secret weapon to steal your peace. Whilst he can keep prodding any festering or old wounds, he can keep you in turmoil, even when the offending party may not even know they offended you! Often offence can arise from misunderstandings or different personalities, so be ready to forgive and don’t allow any hooks of offence to ensnare you and steal your joy. Jesus forgave us so we must forgive others. The quicker you forgive the greater peace and freedom you will have in your life. The offence will have no power over you, and you can move on. Don’t struggle for years with an issue, ask Jesus to help you to forgive. Praise God today that He is a forgiving, loving and merciful God who forgave us unconditionally so we can forgive others too.
