God wants relationship, not religion

I want you to show love, not offer sacrifices. I want you to know me more than I want burnt offerings. Hosea 6:6.

God wants relationship, not religion. He wants us to know Him, His ways and His heart rather than religious observance. It's in our relationship with Jesus that He fills us so full with His love that it will overflow to touch the hurting, to help those in need and to be there for those who are struggling. Real Christianity is when we let God's love flow through us to reach those in need. When we keep close to God, His desires will become our desires and we'll become so much more aware of the needs of others. As we allow God's love to flow through us, we bless God, we bless others, and we too will be blessed, as we see first hand the difference we can make in the lives of others. Thank God today for loving us first so that we can love others too with the love that He has given us.
