In the Lord’s prayer we ask Him to forgive us as we forgive others

and forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven who sin against us. Mat 6:12.

We need to learn to forgive, as every time we pray the Lord's Prayer, we ask God to forgive us as we have forgiven others. Forgiveness is not optional. God forgave us everything when we invited Jesus into our heart as our personal Lord and Saviour. If God could forgive everything, we too must learn to forgive. In difficult situations where you maybe struggling to forgive, ask God to help you to forgive and He will, regardless of the time it takes. Unforgiveness actually hurts you, it’s like you drinking poison and hoping the other person dies. Unforgiveness requires you to keep the pain alive that steals your peace. Forgiveness doesn't mean you have to trust them again, as that must be earnt. Praise God today that as we forgive others as He has forgiven us, we can live with peace in our heart, now and forever.
