Right priorities

But the Lord said to her, “My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details! There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.” Lk 10:41-42. Martha was upset that Mary who was listening at the feet of Jesus wasn’t helping her with dinner. Yet its the very distractions in life, that seem so important at the time, that somehow seem to keep us from spending time with Jesus. Yet long after those distractions are forgotten its our relationship with Jesus that will remain and should be the most important thing in our life.  If we spend more time with Him, He will make a way for us through the distractions that will gradually diminish. Spend time with Him today. Sit at His feet and allow His Word to captivate your heart afresh. Praise and Worship Him. Wait on Him and allow Him to guide you through the distractions of life.
