As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend Pr 27:17. Life is difficult at the best of times and for that reason God created us for relationship. We were created to support each other, encourage each other and to build each other up. Just a few words of encouragement can make all the difference in clearing a hurdle. It’s so much easier to go to the gym with someone else, so you can encourage each other to keep going. Jesus is always there for us, but He created us for unity and friendship to bring joy to our heart as we can share honestly and openly with a true friend, who will tell you things as they honestly are, not to hurt you, but to strengthen you and lift you up. Never share personal matters with those you can’t really trust or else your little fire could turn into a roaring blaze. Praise God today for true friends who we can trust, encourage and build up as they encourage and build us up.
