As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend

As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend. Proverbs 27:17.

We were created for relationship, first with God and then with each other. God gave us friends and others who can also strengthen and encourage us. Sometimes we can't see the wood for the trees or the elephant in the cupboard because we are too close to a situation, so as we share with those we can trust, who don't gossip, they can sometimes highlight what we can't see. We must encourage one another so that we don't let fear hold us back from what God is stirring in our hearts to do. We also must be accountable to each other, so that we’ll have the support, or can give the support, as when the going gets tough, we may need some guidance and wisdom to pull us through. Praise God today that He created us for relationships so that we can strengthen each other in our faith or with whatever we are going through in life.
