Check your heart as God opposes the proud

And all of you, serve each other in humility, for “God opposes the proud but favors the humble.” So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. 1 Pet 5:5b-6. Our heart attitude is so important. We must keep a humble heart before God and recognise that it’s God working through us that makes all things possible. No one would ever want to be opposed by God, yet God opposes the proud, those who take the glory for themselves and walk in arrogance and even false humility. It is therefore so important that we walk in humility and in due time, God will lift us up. When our heart attitude is right towards God, we can move and walk in His favour, blessing and grace in all areas of our life. Thank Jesus today that it’s in Him we live and move and have our being. Its through Him all things are possible and together you and God are a majority in all things.
