Forgiving others is part of God’s plan to bring you freedom

“Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn others, or it will all come back against you. Forgive others, and you will be forgiven. Lk 6:37. We are called to forgive those who sin against us. You only have to forgive once and you are free. Resentment drains you daily as you remember and relive past hurts. In fact we often think that others don’t deserve our forgiveness due to the gravity of their deeds. But the reality is, often it doesn’t effect others if you choose to forgive, it effects you!! A decision to forgive sets you free, you no longer have to dwell on past hurts, you are released from the strongholds past events may have had on your life. Don’t judge or condemn others, pray for them. Praise God today that as we choose to forgive others, we will be set free. As we choose to forgive, we release the same love of God from our heart as God released from His, when He forgave us.
