God’s power works best in our weakness
Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. 2 Cor 12:9. It’s in our weakness and humility that God’s strength can increase in our life. When we recognise our need of Him and look to Him to draw on His strength rather than our own ability, we can overcome the struggles in front of us. In the words of a lovely old hymn “it’s no longer I that liveth but Christ who liveth in me” and in that very essence we have all the promises of God and His strength living in us, ready to move in our life as we rest in Him and draw on His strength. Draw near to Him each day, become anchored in Him so that in your weakness that anchor will keep you close to Him. Thank Jesus and praise Him today that He lives in us to lift us up into heavenly places each day, to be our strength, hope and future.
