God’s ways are not our ways

If your enemies are hungry, give them food to eat. If they are thirsty, give them water to drink. You will heap burning coals of shame on their heads, and the Lord will reward you. Proverbs 25:21-22.

God's ways are not our ways. The world wants us to take revenge, to get angry and get even, but God doesn't want that. All that would do is make you bitter whilst you focus on negative and hurtful thoughts that will steal your peace and push you away from God. As you choose to bless your enemies, your whole demeanour will change from one of anger to compassion and you will keep your peace as you keep your eyes on God. Your response will shame them as they will see that you've responded with goodness in comparison to their own actions. Praise God today that as we choose to bless our enemies rather than hurt them, we will be vindicated and retain our peace in the most difficult situations.
