God says that forgiveness is not optional
Then Peter came to him and asked, “Lord, how often should I forgive someone who sins against me? Seven times?” “No, not seven times,” Jesus replied, “but seventy times seven! Mat 18:21-22. There are some things Jesus doesn’t want us to deal with. He is our protector, our great high priest who steps into the breach on our behalf. God doesn’t want us to retain negative thoughts or poor attitudes that will harden our heart and draw us away from Him. We must allow God to deal with the situation, as you forgive someone with your heart, God will deal with the offence. Just keep your eyes on Him, and your heart in His heart and He will show you the way of forgiveness. God has forgiven us, so we have no grounds not to forgive others. As we draw closer to God, He will heal the deepest of wounds to allow forgiveness to flow. Praise God today that He has forgiven us to make a way for us to forgive others too.
