Jesus doesn’t want us to struggle through life

Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” Mt 11:28-30. It sometimes seems like we carry the burdens of the world on our shoulders, but that’s not what Jesus wants for us. He wants us to rest in green meadows and to lead us beside quiet streams PS 23:2. We must trust and follow His Word, and the words He speaks into our spirit. He wants to tale our pain and struggle and replace it with His love and peace. Give Him all your burdens and let Him deal with them. Don’t look at them anymore, just look to Him instead. Draw near to Him today and love Him. His ways are above our ways, so as we trust Him and keep our eyes on Him, He will turn our sorrows and struggles into joy.
