Jesus wants us to give him our burdens and stress

Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light." Matthew 11:28-30.

Jesus is inviting us to step away from the stresses and anxieties of life and to walk in His steps and to follow Him- that is to take on His yoke. A yoke was a piece of timber that was put across the shoulders of 2 oxen so they could share the burden when ploughing a field together When we walk in the ways of Jesus, He will share our load and guide us in His ways so that we will find rest and peace for our souls. Thank Jesus today that as we choose to walk with Him, He will lead us through the stresses and anxieties of life to a place of peace where we can rest in Him
